BATHROOMS, SPAS
For over 40 years:
HELLMUTH AND HELLGAH DIEKEN completed more than 1700 wall paintings in residences and commercial buildings, bathrooms, spas, restaurants and walls, worldwide.
Artistic paintings on walls and ceilings, such as Trompe´l´Oeils (optical illusion paintings) European park- and castle landscapes, architectural town panoramas (architectural paintings), Chinoiseries (Asian motives) or Middle-Eastern themes show the distinctiveness of their artistic workings, which attract attention to your interior decoration.
Martin D. Schwarz, Lecturer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York City, about the Diekens:
" Hellmuth and Hellgah Dieken are masters of the art of mural painting. Each is inspired by the artists´ awareness of history but creating reproductions was far from their minds. They achieve illusions as masters of a special brand of fantasy that is ages old, but their use of traditional techniques is tempered by the able addition of humour. Humour is the ingredient that makes the work timely for this century."
The DIEKENS lived and worked in the U.S. from 1982 to 1988 and completed numerous murals and paintings. The DIEKENS´ work was prominently featured in the U.S. press.
